Steve Goodman, (folk singer) Grammy award winner ... graduated in 1968 from Maine East High School in Park Ridge, Illinois and Lake Forest College in 1970. The Earl of Old Town was Goodman's musical home turf, where audiences would know his "Lincoln Park Pirates" (a song about a notorious towing company) from its first notes. Steve Goodman died of leukemia in 1984 at the age of 36; his ashes are buried under home plate at Wrigley Field.
