Chicago White Sox Jerseys
with World Series Patch![]()
Chicago White Sox, winners of 2005 American League Division Series (ALDS against the Boston Red Sox), 2005 American League Championship Series (ALCS, American League Pennant against the Los Angeles Angels) , winners of the World Series in 2005 (against the Houston Astros), 1917 (against the New York Giants), and 1906 (against the Chicago Cubs).
White Sox success puts Journeysong back on charts
The White Sox' success has apparently turned into a boon for Journey, the 1980s rock band whose hit "Don't Stop Believin'" (LISTEN on iTunes) was adopted as an anthem by the team and its fans.
The 24-year old song was the No. 3 rock download on Apple Computer's iTunes Web site in 2005, the only song recorded before the year 2005 on a list filled with songs by younger bands such as Nickelback and Lifehouse. And Journey's 17 year-old "Greatest Hits" album, which includes the song, shot to #140 on the Amazon.com music sales chart.
According to published reports, Sox players Joe Crede, Aaron Rowand and A.J. Pierzynski — who refer to themselves as the "three stooges" — claimed the song as their theme after hearing it in a Baltimore night spot and deciding that its lyrics described their season.
The South Siders were the ones who brought us Disco Demolition Night 25 years prior to the White Sox winning the World Series in 2005.
The resurgence of the catchy 1959 tune "Let's Go, Go-Go White Sox" at U.S. Cellular Field inspired this Christmas display.Check out the at-bat music for the current White Sox:

Sometimes music is not the main event.
