The remaining resurfacing all the way to Milwaukee
Avenue (Wheeling) is expected to be completed by
October. Bridge work (Prospect Heights), which
involves the total replacement of the bridge over
Route 83, is expected to be completed in November.
Route 83 will be closed during the project's first
month (expected to be May). The bridge over Route
83 will close when Route 83 reopens and will not
re-open until the end of the project. Bridge work
is also planned for the Wisconsin Central Railroad,

Farwell and Jensen wanted to limit the TIF to the

has revealed plans for 11 acres of residential

Committee meeting Jan. 12.

Radio Station Changes in Arlington Heights
JAN 06 2005 -- Recent changes have occurred to
radio stations that transmit from the
440
foot tower
on Boeger Drive near Arlington Heights Road and
Dundee Road. WKIE is now part of the Newsweb
Corporation network of NINE-FM
locally broadcast on 92.7 MHz. Station promos claim
they play 'anything.' Music logged so far is a wide
variety, mostly rock, top 40 and deep cuts -- 60's
through today. ONDA 92, a spanish language format
was formerly playing on 92.7 MHz. The studio that
was used for broadcasting on 92.7 MHz for decades
was razed last year. The current studio is in
Chicago and accesses the tower in Arlington Heights
remotely. WZFS FM 106.7 THE
FISH
is no longer broadcasting in the Chicago market.
The Salem Web Network is now broadcasting on
560
AM WIND,
but not with the FISH Christian format.
Univision
has taken over the 106.7 MHz airwaves with a
spanish language format. A Christian format station
WCLR plays the Air1.com
network on weekends on 88.3 MHz. The frequency is
shared with Harper College WHCM, which controls
weekday broadcasts. The station is a low power
broadcast from a tower near Arlington Heights Road
and Rand Road.
