US-14
Also known as Northwest
Highway and Ronald Reagan
Highway, runs mostly southeast to
northwest. It starts on the
northwest side of Chicago (at
Ridge and Peterson) and leaves
Illinois at Bigfoot, WI. Stay on
US-14 and you'll travel through
Wisconsin, Minnesota, South
Dakota, and onward to the
entrance to Yellowstone National
Park west of Cody, Wyoming.
Northwest Highway runs through
the heart of downtown Arlington
Heights. Not including left turn
lanes, US-14 is a four-lane
highway throughout Arlington
Heights.
Downtown movie theaters, the
Metropolis Theater, retail
shopping stores, grocers and many
restaurants are just off
Northwest Highway in the downtown
area.

Northwest
Highway and Rand Road (US-12) are
the only US highways in Arlington
Heights. Both run southeast to
northwest. The only other highway
that runs southeast to northwest
throught Arlington Heights is
Interstate 90 at the south end of
Arlington Heights.
