Dear Classmates,

It has been said that you can't cheat Father time. But, for one magical evening, we did just that, turning back the clock and transforming the Christian Liberty Academy into the Arlington High School we all remember so well. With a foyer overflowing with classmates, teachers, amplified conversation, and great memories one would have thought AHS was open for business. Which is exactly what we envisioned some thirteen months ago in the beer garden at Harry's of Arlington when our journey began.

In July of 2000 a group of creative and committed '76 grads were determined to organize a unique experience to celebrate the 25th anniversary of our graduating from AHS. The consensus was that throwing a party in the coolest school ever was the way to go. With the cooperation and support of the generous folks at CLA we were able to realize our vision and become the first class ever to reunite at good old Arlington. And, thanks to you, the event was a resounding success and it appears that fellow alumnae from other graduating classes will have the same opportunity that we have had. It was an emotional and festive night and one we hope you all remember for years to come.

We would like to express our gratitude and thanks to the following: The Christian Liberty Academy for believing that such an event could be successfully held at their school and trusting the Class of '76 to do it right; Guy Vena, Bob Frisk, and Bob Runtz for the humorous, thoughtful and emotional speeches they presented for our "assembly;" the ex-faculty members for taking the time and having the interest in being part of our celebration; Barb Herdrich Guziak for the clever song; to Brian Hilton (Class of '84) for his sax-playing of the school song in his Marching Cardinal uniform; and to the class of 1976 for providing the motivation necessary to help us through the process. Many of you traveled great distances at considerable expense and all of you took time away from family to be with us and we greatly appreciate the time and effort. We hope it was worth it.

Although the reunion is over, we hope you will stay in touch with us and your classmates via Arlingtoncards.com and Classmates.com. We will be adding surveys in the future about what you liked and didn't like about this reunion. We can even find out what you might like to try for our 30th. It's never too early to start planning! Again, thanks to all who attended, it was great to see you!

Your '76 Reunion Team,

Mark Bostrom, Tom Brennan, Donna Botefuhr Erfort, Linda Garman Hanaford, Judie Drain King, Jade Barlow Montanez, Doug Martin, Faith Wachlin Nowack, Laura Kazlauski Ott, Debbie Dutro Prendergast, Jane Abbs Underys, and Keith Weir.
